GVSU Laker Mobile iPhone Application

The School of Computing and Information Systems is pleased to announce the availability of the GVSU Laker Mobile iPhone application. The application was designed and implemented by the GVSU Mobile Applications and Services Lab <http://masl.cis.gvsu.edu> in the GVSU School of Computing and and Information Systems. The project consisted of a number of our graduate and under graduate students under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Engelsma. The application features campus news, a campus directory, a campus zeitgeist, multimedia, live webcams, and interactive campus maps.

The application is available for free download on the App Store. The students in MASL are now busy working on an Android version of the app which should be made available in the near future. Keep an eye on this page!

While the project was a team effort, there were a few students who went beyond the call of duty, including CIS graduate student Alejo Montoya, CIS undergraduate Greg Zavitz as well as Gina Caratelli an undergraduate in the GVSU Dept. of Art and Design who designed the app's icons.

For more information regarding this project, please contact Dr. Jonathan Engelsma.  More information about the School's Mobile Applications and Services Lab is available at <http://masl.cis.gvsu.edu>.
