The School of CIS maintains several specialty labs to support our students and the classes we teach.  Learn more about them through the links below.


CIS Computing Labs – We have four labs dedicated to CIS: the EOS, ARCH, Datacom and Hybrid Computing labs.

The DEN – The Distributed Execution Network Lab is a place for students to learn about and perform research with high performance computing.

Mobile Applications and Services Lab – A unique environment for faculty and students who have interests in emerging mobile technologies from both a research and educational perspective

Network & Security Lab – This lab is being used to support both applied research and teaching activities in computer networking, systems security, and cybersecurity.

GVSU General Computing Services – General Grand Valley lab services.

MAK C-2-418 Student Project Room This meeting room is equipped with a whiteboard, and power outlets and capacity for groups of six or less.

MAK C-2-504 Student Project Room This meeting room is equipped with a whiteboard, and power outlets and capacity for groups of six or less.

CIS Conference Room This meeting room is equipped with a Smart Kapp whiteboard, 62 inch HD display, power outlets and capacity for groups of ten or less.

CIS Meeting Room This meeting room is equipped with a Smart Kapp whiteboard, 55 inch HD display, power outlets and capacity for groups of six or less.
